9 Minutes of Piranha 3D!

Earlier this week, sites that were present at SDCC '10, said the premiered footage resembled the style of Peter Jackson's Dead Alive (Brain Dead here). I've gotta say, they were right. This looks sick, twisted and one hell of a fucking ride!

Because I'm feeling charitable...

Currently, www.aintitcool.com are running a blog called 'Behind The Scenes Pic Of The Day'. It's really fantastic stuff, written and discussed by Quint. Check it out if you guys get the chance. Above is a stunning BTS pic of Leone & Eastwood on the set of The Good, The Bad & The Ugly. Click the link to check it's glorious nerdness!

AMC's Breaking Bad

In preparation for AMC's The Walking Dead (hitting our screens in October), I'm cracking into their on-going series, Breaking Bad. I've heard almost all fantastic things, so I've very, very excited. So, for all those interested in checking it out, I've found the series for awesomely cheap! Share the wealth, geeks!

Breaking Bad: Complete Series 1 - €12.49

An awesome price for an awesome series!

The final(?) Saw flick is here.

Beyond is the launch trailer for Saw VII, the final flick in the long winded Horror Franchise.

Jigsaw! Gore! 3D! Saw VII!

Topless Piranhas Ahoy!!!

Check out the new UK Quad for Piranha 3D (out in Ireland & the UK in late August). The remake is directed by Alexander Aja (Switchblade Romance, The Hills Have Eyes) and starring Elisabeth Shue, Ving Rhames and Christopher Lloyd. Pretty fucking cool poster if I might add.

The A-Team skinny!

With Joe Carnahan's The A-Team launching this weekend here in Ireland & the UK, here's a quicky review to help you make up your mind on whether to check it out!

I'm sure everyone is aware of at least what The A-Team is all about, so I won't get into that, but I will say this is an origin story. This particular adventure tells the story of how Face, B.A., Hannibal & Murdock all met for the first time and became The A-Team. Fast forward a few years and the team are tasked with retrieving stolen US Dollar-making plates. So off they go on their globe trotting venture between the US, Iraq & Mexico.

In terms of performances and chemistry within the team, Neeson and the gang turn in fantastic performances. And you will really believe that these guys have been friends for years. When the A-Team are together (on a mission or not) hilarity ensues. And action. A shit ton of action.

The stunts, effects and set-pieces are terrifically OTT and ridiculous. You just have to see them to believe them. Altogether, with all these pro's in the mix, The A-Team is a total blast. Not without it's flaws, but a fun, highly entertaining romp regardless.

Total Recall(s)?

Underworld & Die Hard 4's director Len Wiseman is going to direct a reboot of Total Recall. I'm not too pushed with this news, as I've never hated remakes. In fact, I really dug The Wolfman with Hopkins and Del Toro, and more recently, The Crazies. What I don't like about the news is the direct attached. Wiseman, as it stands, has made 3 very mediocre movies. Die Hard 4 was lacking in the Hard, Underworld and it's sequel just plain sucked.

This could be entertaining I guess...a passable stylish sci-fi flick...but the original was just so fucking good that I can't help but ask WHY?!

WWWWWWWWWWWWWWWHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!?!?!?!
